Ludum Dare 31: birdsong

“birdsong” by Daniel Linssen.

“[It is] finally time to leave the nest. The whole wide world sprawls out before you […], waiting to be explored. Can you learn to fly?”

“birdsong” was one of the best games of the thirty-first Ludum Dare. Daniel Linssen simply nailed the theme (“Entire Game on One Screen”) by using the fisheye lens look in combination with a whole platformer maze: You see all the locations of the whole world in just one playable map. This design decision resulted in a perfect concept to combine aesthetics with gameplay. [PLAY]
