Ludum Dare 38: Dungeon In a Bottle

“Dungeon In a Bottle” by Joe Hanna & Andrew Jones.

“Escape the confines of a magic bottle by using your keen acrobatics! The walls are closing in, and you can push against them or jump off of them to push them back. […] You can execute a hyper wall jump with the proper timing, but if you mess up you’re gonna eat dirt!”

That game is so frustrating and satisfying at the same time! “Dungeon In a Bottle” has such a great level design that I couldn’t stop to play and get better at, even when I died dozen times in a level. No joke: For my first playthrough I needed roundabout 30 minutes. And it was worth it! Also, the whole audiovisual representation has an amazing retro flair, which remembers me a bit of the “Alex Kidd” games. Good times, but that crazy platformer is harder. >>PLAY
