Ludum Dare 38: Dungeon In a Bottle

“Dungeon In a Bottle” by Jo Hanna & Andrew Jones.

“Escape the confines of a magic bottle by using your keen acrobatics! The walls are closing in, and you can push against them or jump off of them to push them back. […] You can execute a hyper wall jump with the proper timing, but if you mess up [you are going to] eat dirt!”

This game is so frustrating and satisfying at the same time, it is unbelievable. “Dungeon In a Bottle” has such a great level design that I could not stop to play and get better at it, even when I died dozen times in a row in one single room. Also, the whole audiovisual representation has an amazing retro flair, which reminded me a bit of the classic “Alex Kidd” games. >>PLAY
