“god is a ghost” by Owen Roberts.
“A first person exploration game in a procedurally generated world, [where you] search for answers to spiritual questions and die.”
Often we think atmosphere in games can just be created by some sort of excellent, cinematic, dramaturgic, linear construction. In my opinion, “god is a ghost” is a fantastic counter-example: With its procedurally generated dialogues and rooms, this alt game knows how to create a creepy, mysterious atmosphere. Can you find god there? Or at least some coffee? Death seems inevitable, but I do not think that this is a problem. >>PLAY
